I am in the process of writing two books on quantum mechanics. One is a
junior-senior level textbook for physics majors and is the culmination
of teaching quantum mechanics and doing research in quantum mechanics
foundations at Swarthmore College for many decades. The second book is
also the result of teaching quantum mechanics at Swarthmore College. In
this case however, it represents my efforts to teach a rigorous course
to first-year students without hiding the true mathematical language of
the subject.
The first book is much furhter along than the second. I have used the
text of the first book many times over the past several decades with
the students here at Swarthmore College with great success (according
to them).
The second book consists of notes compiled and used with first-year
students for the past decade and is slowly being brought into book form.
Again I have had much success (according to the students).
The first book is almost finished. I am in the process of writing up
problem solutions now (the last step). Below are two PDF files listing
the contents of the advanced book.
